NYC is a year round tourism destination and now it wants people to take that advantage of the city’s affordable prices in winters too as the prices drop around 20 to 30 per cent during the period of January to March.
According to Heywood, India is the 12th largest source market in terms of foreign tourists for NYC with the total Indian market spending at $640 million as of 2014. This year NYC is, thus, targeting 278,000 Indian travellers. Indian travel market for NYC has grown by 10 to 15 per cent year on year since 2010.
