Microsoft Azure launched by opening three data centres in India

Microsoft yesterday launched its local data centres in India, called Microsoft Azure, much earlier than its deadline of December this year, a move that will help it build more confidence among the government, Indian companies and small and medium businesses in the country. The Redmond, Washington-based company is now looking to bring advanced cloud services such as Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, Media Services and Internet of Things (IoT). The data centres are located in Mumbai, Pune and Chennai.
