India’s holding of US securities crosses $100 bn

As a result of India purchasing nearly $10 billion worth of bonds, India's exposure to US government securities has reached $101.7 billion. According to the latest data available with the Treasury Department, the holdings crossed the $100 billion-mark in February, the highest level in more than a year. Since the Modi-led government took to power in May, India’s exposure to such securities have been on the rise.
