Indian-American Kartik Chandran wins McArthur Fellowship 2015

Indian-American named Kartik Chandran has won McArthur Fellowship for 2015 for his work in “transforming wastewater from a pollutant requiring disposal to a resource for useful products, such as commodity chemicals, energy sources, and fertilisers." Kartik is now one of 24 most talented and creative people who have marked capacity for self-direction. He will receive a ‘genius grant’ of $625,000, which he may use as he sees fit.
